A modular approach is adopted to ensure a cost-effective structural solution. A repetitive module of 10.5m is used to create two 21m-long bays at each end; five 42m-long bays across the non-navigable part of the river and the island; and a 52.5m-long bay to effectively span the navigable part. The modular bays are adapted to suit the geometry of the site conditions.
