The structure that supports the Skycatcher is similar to that of the rest of the pier, lightly touching the ground and cradling the dish of the Skycatcher in four points. The inside and outside materials of the dish are intentionally in stark contrast to each other. The inside of the dish has a stainless steel mirror finish while the outside has an ‘earthy’ appearance – clad with the untreated discs of wood cut from the tree trunks of varying dimensions.
